A great place to see the most reptiles anywhere in the Pacific Northwest is right here and always open for you to enjoy. They have everything from a resident Albino Croc to a Black Mamba, you can see it all here.
This is truly a nice little road trip that is easy to explore. With all of its twists and turns and majestic views, it's a trip travel enthusiasts take often.
Just a short drive east and you'll be at Deception Falls. This is great for beginner hikers with no steep inclines. A short loop under 1 mile so it's a very comfortable trail to enjoy the forest, Alpine Lakes and old growth beauty of the PNW.
Iron Goat Trail is listed as an easy 9.2 miles long trail. But it does have some steep switchbacks and a very dark past of the Wellington Train Disaster. A great hike with a heartbreaking past is definitely something to explore.

Heybrook Lookout is a short and moderately steep hike through a fern and moss covered forest to a fun, staircase-ridden lookout with great views of the nearby mountains. If you are introducing someone to hiking, limited on time, or trying to add on another hike or activity in the area, this is the hike for you
The Penstock, now on the National Historical Register, was a huge water pipe used to deliver water to a powerhouse located where the parking lot is now. The electricity powered electrical engines which pulled trains through the Cascade Tunnel at Stevens Pass. An easier trail with beautiful views.

One of my Favorite places to go in Monroe. The Evergreen State Fair Grounds always has something to offer and really knows how to send off summer with the Evergreen State Fair. I could go everyday.
